RE Statement of Intent

To develop the children’s understanding of RE and provide them an opportunity to study the mystery of Christ. To lead the children to a deepening knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith and to provide opportunities for them to develop a loving relationship with God and their neighbour. All of which is based on the life and teaching of Jesus Christ, in which the values of the Gospel underpin all aspects of school life.

Only excellence is good enough! We are using our curriculum drivers of: Aspiration, Knowledge of the World, Communication, Preparation for Life, Community to achieve this.

St Therese of Lisieux is our Patron Saint.

RE Curriculum

Our school follows the curriculum strategy – Learning and Growing as the People of God – provided by the Archdiocese of Birmingham for teaching RE in a Catholic primary school.
Please click on the links below to access each class’s syllabus.
In addition to the diocesan strategy we have dedicated themed weeks for example a multi faith week, little way week and Diwali week.

At Home:

Each half term, knowledge packs that include vocabulary, skills and RE knowledge will be sent home to use in prayer at home, conversations and projects. Please ask staff for a range of other detailed progression documents to support your child at home.
