St Teresa’s Curriculum Drivers: Aspiration, Knowledge of the World, Communication, Preparation for Life, Community. 

  • Our curriculum improvement work started in September 2020 and rapid improvements continue until our bespoke curriculum for all learners is exemplary and broad.
  • Leaders and staff worked closely with St Mary’s School in October 2020 allowing us to develop a progressive History curriculum that is driven by our new CURRICULUM DRIVERS. We are already seeing the positive impact within each class. Maths, English, Geography, PSHE (including British Values and RSE) were next to have a full review and re-design making sure the curriculum is driven by: Aspiration, Knowledge of the World, Communication, Preparation for Life, Community.

  • Some of the curriculum plans on our website are being adapted and will be updated once our curriculum redesign has been finalised. We used staff, pupil and governor voice in September 2020 to move away from a thematic curriculum as we want pupils to have a higher level of knowledge acquisition. We have a detailed, ambitious month by month Curriculum Development Timeline that we use to guide all improvements to ensure children are able to ‘Keep up whilst catching up’.
