St Teresa’s Prayer Leaders having been looking at all the amazing Easter Gardens that have been coming into school these last few weeks. Thank you for all the amazing creations and for the families who helped and supported at home. Jesus has Risen – Alleluia!

All children in Y3, Y4, Y5 are reading their new class novels. We buy sets of 15 books so children can share a book with a partner and read along with their teacher. Y4 and Y5 books have been chosen due to the shared theme; war and fleeing your home country. So far, the feedback is amazing! They can’t wait to read the next chapter of ‘The boy at the back of the class’ or ‘You don’t know what war is’ by Yeva Skalietska, a 12 year old girl from Ukraine. Year 3 are also engrossed with ‘Stig of the dump’ a modern classic for children. Ask your child to summarise the plot so far for you at home.
Children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities can make a splash with swimming lessons at the City of Wolverhampton Council’s leisure centres. Click below to sign up:

Welcome back to the Summer term.
We are determined to make sure every child makes even more progress than last term! Help us to allow your child to ASPIRE and ACHIEVE highly.
Attendance and punctuality are very important. Make sure your child arrives on time (8:40am) and every day please.
Our academy attendance target is for the attendance of all pupils to be above 96.5% this year. So far, our average is below this, 94.8%.
If your child’s attendance is below our target of 96.5% we will be inviting you in for a meeting to improve this. Please read the latest attendance letter here.
Dear Year 4,
Remember to visit Mrs McHale when you finish your new wonderful book from Waterstones Bookshop. I can’t wait to find out about the characters and plot and compare your book to others we have read. The challenge I set to complete a book review can still be met, we can even complete the book review together. Keep reading!
Yours sincerely,
We gathered in this hall this week to reflect on the 14 Stations of the Cross. Each day we deeply thought on the difficult journey Jesus went on, leading to His death on Good Friday. Children across our school, announced each station and read prayers, allowing us to think what Jesus did for us.
“The cross is the only way of salvation. And the cross gives a new purpose to life.”
What a fun-filled Science Week we have had at St Teresa’s, with the focus of time. 🧪 🧫 🧬 Every class have been taking part in different class experiments and across the school, all the classes took part in a whole school experiment, where we became anatomists. We have been developing our working scientifically and enquiry skills but most importantly, simply enjoying the wonders of science!
The chicks have arrived at St Teresa’s! The children have been eagerly watching them as they hatched from their eggs. Soon they will be moving to their cosy brooder box and we will continue to watch them grow into young hens and cockerels. Ask you child what an egg tooth is, about nutrition or about the life cycle of a chick. Remember you can watch the live feed from the link on our school website. Reception & Y1 Family Fridays will be in the hall to read chick diaries together and make observations.
