Reception’s Outdoor Adventure Day

15th June 2021Ms T Picken

Reception class enjoyed their exciting day of outside adventure! In the morning, they found their class base camp for the adventure. They then had fun bubble catching, story telling, making magical wands, mixing woodland smelling pots and creating sticky strips with some of the field’s fantastic flowers and leaves. In the afternoon they had a great time creating some mud painting!

Wellbeing & Knowledge through music.

19th May 2021Stacy McHale

We had a wonderful morning today learning about a range of music styles (Jazz, Classical, Latin-American) and how different brass instruments use sliders, keys and more to play notes. Well done to Year 4 who noticed that condensation from the trombone needed to be released after each performed piece, this linked to our science knowledge too!

Staff and pupils also focused on how music (live or recorded) can really help our emotions and well-being. Thank you to Wolverhampton Music Service, a real treat today and you have inspired lots of us to learn how to play an instrument.  https://wolverhamptonmusicservice.org.uk/ . Soon our own violinists will be ready to perform for the first time! Watch this space.

School Councillors Clean Up Our Community

27th April 2021Ms T Picken

Our School Councillors went out onto the streets of our community to help Keep Britain Tidy! The pupils walked up Malins Road and Greenly Road and collected litter on the pathways we use every day. Pupils learnt the importance of mutual respect, looking after our community,  and keeping it clean and tidy.

The School Council voted to carry the litter pick out on a regular basis and will be out cleaning the streets in a few weeks time.

Well done School Council.
