The Rosary

16th October 2024Mrs R Wilcox

Father Pawal joined classes across the school to talk and reflect on the Prayer of the Rosary. We thought about the prayers that we recite and why it’s such a special prayer to pray in October. #HailMary #RosaryMonth #OurLadyoftheRosary

We joined Laura Mucha and thousands of other children from around the world to try and break a Guinness World record for how many children take part in a poetry lesson.

Together, we wrote parts of an amazing poem, which included an axolotl called Bob. We can’t wait to find out if we were successful in breaking the record!   #NationalPoetryDay #GuinnessWorldRecord

Wow! Walk to School Project

25th September 2024Alison Wilkinson
Exciting news from St Teresa’s Catholic Academy! We’ve officially joined the Wow Living Streets Walk to School project.
WOW is a fun, pupil-led initiative where our children at St Teresa’s self-report how they travel to school each day using the WOW Travel Tracker. If they make a more sustainable journey – by walking, cycling or scooting (or even parking further away from school and ‘striding in’) – they earn a collectible badge each month.
This is a fantastic way to promote healthier lifestyles, reduce pollution and make every journey to school more eco-friendly.

Our prayer leaders in Year 5 and Year 6 have begun to lead praying The Angelus on a Monday at midday. They did this with grace and reverence. Praying this special prayer allows our hearts to refocus on God.
