Thank you to our our local PCSO for talking to Year 5 and 6 about anti social behaviour. The pupils listened carefully, responded well to all the questions and now understand the impact of anti social behaviour on others.
Exciting news from St Teresa’s Catholic Academy! We’ve officially joined the Wow Living Streets Walk to School project.
WOW is a fun, pupil-led initiative where our children at St Teresa’s self-report how they travel to school each day using the WOW Travel Tracker. If they make a more sustainable journey – by walking, cycling or scooting (or even parking further away from school and ‘striding in’) – they earn a collectible badge each month.
This is a fantastic way to promote healthier lifestyles, reduce pollution and make every journey to school more eco-friendly.
On Tuesday 28th November, pupils from Year 2 and 3 attended a Dodgeball Festival at Aldersley Stadium. Pupils from St Teresa’s were led through a number of drills / practices to help them learn the rules of the game, skills and technique. The whole emphasis of the day was to remember – to have fun and to participate as opposed to winning.
Key Stage 2 pupils met Wolverhampton’s local MP Pat McFadden. Pat McFadden spoke about his role as an MP before inviting the children to ask questions. The children asked excellent questions regarding education, hospitals, etc. Pat Mcfadden was so impressed with the pupils at St Teresa’s, he even sent a letter congratulating the pupils on their range of questions.
