On Wednesday 28th February St Teresa’s Catholic Primary Academy once again welcomed Father Pawel in to school to lead us in our Liturgy.
During the time of Lent, we think about how much Jesus loves and cares for us.
Jesus said to his friends I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me.”
The story of the Good Shepherd is a wonderful story of how Jesus cares for us. He cares for us as a shepherd cares for his sheep. A shepherd guides his sheep. He keeps them safe from harm, even when they stray away from him. He knows each of his sheep by name and they are special to him.

On Wednesday 14th of February we celebrated Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.
During Lent we will think about how we can become a better person.
We also remember how much God loves us because he died on the cross for us.
We received ashes on our foreheads to show that we will try extra hard to make the right choices and to use our gifts and talents for the good of others.
Yesterday, we welcomed Emily Jordan and Dan Callow in to our school for a wonderful and soulful retreat day. The theme of the day was; His Goodness Never Fails-taken from the much loved and well known Psalm 23. “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me besides still waters; he restores my soul.”
Emily and Dan celebrated the day with their music, sense of fun, hymns and prayer that has restored the hearts and minds of us all, I am sure for the rest of the academic year to come.

On Friday 22nd January we were joined by Pat McFadden MP to launch our Road Safety Campaign. St Teresa’s Head Boy and Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Girl joined members of the local constabulary in handing out tickets to those parked dangerously. We need to make parents aware that Malins Road needs to be a safer road for children, parents and residents alike.
